MOËT & CHANDON unveiled Scarlett Johansson as the first face of champagne, sum up and full Twitter report by Olivier Bassil

A very special event took place in London on the evening of March 25.^th Moët & Chandon, the champagne of cinema, revealed its highly anticipated celebrity muse at the brand’s “Tribute to Cinema” gala at the Big Sky Studio. On this night, Moet became the first champagne House to introduce a Hollywood celebrity, Scarlett Johansson, to become the face for the greatly loved and timeless Moët & Chandon Champagne brand.

“Moët and the movies both tell compelling stories and share authentic emotions with the world,” explained Scarlett Johansson. “I am honored to have been chosen as their ambassador and to make history with the brand, as the first celebrity face of champagne!”

“The Tribute to Cinema” theme dazzled everyone present at this exceptional evening. The guest list included an array of top British and international celebrities including Thandie Newton, Joseph Fiennes, and Melanie Laurent who arrived in glamorous attire and were greeted by House President Frederic Cumenal. Honorable guests were then invited to autograph a Moet & Chandon Nebuchadnezzar following the red carpet tradition at the international film festivals. The champagne will be auctioned off to support Scarlett’s charity of choice: Oxfam and its work for climate change.

The evening engaged guests in a mesmerizing sensorial experience featuring an audio and video projection of some of the most celebratory shots in film. Placed in the center of the studio was the famous gilded Moet cork-- a symbol of Moët’s incredible power to transform the traditional and mundane into the extraordinary and influential. Scarlett Johansson arrived at around 10:30 escorted by Frederic Cumenal into the enchanting event where guests eagerly awaited her presence.
