A few questions with the creative love behind the brand, Marissa.

Daniel Scheffler: Define luxury for yourself.

Marissa Montgomery: Luxury can be anything from lying in Egyptian cotton sheets in silk pajamas to swimming in the crystal clear water of Formentara .To a Twirl chocolate bar, I can get kicks from anything even a brand new notepad filled with fresh sheets of paper or a twister ice lolly on a hot day like today nothing feels more decadent.

Daniel: How do you see yourself positioned in the market place?

Marissa: Pussy Glamore is a luxury brand that is young with a sense of humor it sits in-between the grown up established brands and the off the wall crazy ones. We are lucky to sit in Harvey Nichols and Selfridges two of my favorite department stores. Both stores exude luxury and style.

Daniel: Tell me about your inspiration, your place of creativity.

Marissa: Inspiration can hit me at the weirdest times I don’t have a set routine. I create in my father’s old studio which is where I do all my sketching and day to day work it is a great place full of good energy and a good source of creative inspiration as it is covered in my dad’s old photographs and where he actually shot some of his iconic album covers.

Daniel: What are your brand values?

Marissa: My brand is all about being fresh fun and a good fit.

Daniel: What is the essence of style to you?

Marissa: The color black.

Daniel: Interesting brands you see as luxury and create aspirational value?

Marissa: Other luxury brands I admire are Louis Vuitton, Ralph Lauren, Juicy Couture these are all brands that have created a total lifestyle everything from the socks you wear to the tumblers you drink out of to your dogs lead. It is a way of living and the branding that goes with it is so well thought out I admire all these brands.Luxury is what you make of it from indulging yourself with a new lip gloss from Boots- to a new Top Shop dress. High street has never been soluxurious.

Daniel: Tell me anything flamboyant or madly innovative

Marissa: I have a black pussy cat called Killah.
