Jaeger-LeCoultre strongly believes in the connection between Film and Watches, defining them as the two worlds where Movement is an art, History is wealth and Time is energy. Needless to say, the two worlds also share yet another great quality: their Glamour.
It is therefore of no surprise that Jaeger-LeCoultre has chosen to
celebrate the 80th anniversary of its most prestigious 'Haute Joaillerie' model, the
Calibre 101, at landmark film events throughout the year.
The celebration has started at the
62nd Cannes Film Festival, on the wrist of Jaeger-LeCoultre's ambassador Diane Kruger, accompanied by the entire cast of Quentin Tarantino’s new movie.
The next stops in the anniversary celebration are the
International Film Festival in Venice this September, and finally an exceptional exhibition dedicated to the work of Fellini in Paris this Autumn.

The Calibre 101 is a strongly established "high jewelery" piece, designed as a highly luxurious bracelet, it is the world's smallest mechanical movement, and was chosen and worn by Queen Elizabeth II on her Coronation day.
We also value any effort in preserving the world heritage, and have learned that Jaeger-LeCoultre is partnering with UNESCO in the
Tides of Time project, which is featuring Venice this year on its list of unique sites deserving protection. On September 2nd, a special page in the International Herald Tribune will be entirely devoted to this site in order to highlight its exceptional nature.
