The World Millionaire Summer Fair, 2009 provides ample evidence of the fact that there is still a market for luxury goods, despite the economic downturn!
For its first summer occurence, Millionnaire Fair held this prestigious event at the Royal Bar Yacht Club on the bank of the Moscow River. The club has sand imported from the Maldives on an artificial beach.
The level of participants ranged from carmakers McClaren, Ferrari and Mercedes to watch and jewellery brands such as Piaget. Some of the goods listed for sale at the fair included a custom-made Mercedes, fitted with a television screen, fridge, bar and Playstation for 165,000 euros ($230,000) and a sleek Ferrari F430 Stealth Limited for 280,000 euros ($390,000).
