Hedi Slimane’s Collection of American Youth Films

French film company MK2 asked the renowned photographer and fashion designer, Hedi Slimane to justify his fascination with American youth and curate a collection of his favorite films that best illustrate youth and the birth of counter culture in America from the 1950s until now. Hedi Slimane who has been preoccupied with his brilliant black/white photography has been occupied lately with fashion editorials and Prada men’s campaigns for the past few seasons.

The limited edition boxset will include eleven films such as “Rebel without a Cause”, “Boys Don’t Cry”,  Francis Ford Coppola’s “Rumble Fish” and Gus van Sant’s “Last Days”, a long with a series of photographs by Hedi Slimane. The boxset will be released November 2009.
