Ford Models: Supermodel of the World Search

Carrying on from my last post, where I stressed on the influence models are wielding in today’s society, the evolution of the model breed and the rapid development of this multi-million dollar industry over the past decades can be clearly felt from the sheer number of “model search competitions” that are being held all over – and with great success too.

If Victoria’s Secret is trying to be innovative with their “Victoria’s Secret Model Search” to find unknown unheard raw talent to be their new Angels, Ford Models is running close at its heels with their long-lasting “Ford Models Supermodel of the World” search, formerly known as “Face of the 80′s”.

Ford Models Supermodel of the World

Next Saturday, November 21st, Ford Models will be hosting open calls for this competition in two major cities: at the W Hotel at 541 Lexington in New York and at 930 Hilgard Avenues in Los Angeles. One lucky finalist will be selected and flown down to Sao Paolo, Brazil for the Supermodel of the World competition.
