Ferrari has just announced that the brand-new 458 Italia, unveiled in September 2009 at the Frankfurt Auto Show, will be available for a starting price of £169,145. Additional options available include LED indicator lights on the steering wheel, Alcantara microsuede trim for the trunk, and electric seats.
The much-awaited 2011 Ferrari 458 Italia, which replaces the F430, comes with a seven-speed dual clutch gearbox and a brand new V8 engine. It was recently featured on the SQUA.RE blog. For many Ferrari lovers, the price tag is well-worth the opportunity to own and drive a sports car that comes from the strong high-performance heritage and Italian roots that Ferrari is well-known for.
Although the Ferrari brand was born in 1929 in Maranello, Italy, they only produced race cars until 1947, when they first began manufacturing cars for use on streets. Ferrari keeps true to its heritage by participating in, and dominating Formula One autoracing. In addition, they ensure that all of their road cars are high-performance sports cars that also have a sexy and eye-catching exterior.
