Magnum Marine’s Most Luxurious Yacht: Magnum 100

Magnum Marine, the Italian-owned, Florida-based manufacturer of high-performance yachts has announced that the production of their latest project, the Magnum 100, has commenced.

The Magnum 100 will be the most luxurious yacht produced by Magnum Marine yet. It will include a range of indoor and outdoor seating, dining and viewing areas, along with an expandable top that allows adjustment of shaded areas. The four staterooms, reception and salon areas, and all other interior spaces will be custom-designed and built based upon owner specifications. An outdoor cockpit gives the 100-foot vessel a glamorous touch.

The exquisite design and eco-friendly concept of the Magnum 100 has been developed and devised by young Italian designer, Alberto Mancini. The yacht uses advanced composite foams and carbon fiber. These are lighter materials that reduce the weight, and thereby the power consumed by the vessel relative to other comparable models. An electric wing engine is also installed for slow operation, which eliminates noise and exhaust. When it comes to the interiors as well, Mancini has maintained the energy-saving theme, incorporating LED and fluorescent lighting that uses power efficiently.

The Magnum 100 is an eco-friendly, luxurious, as well as a high-performance vessel, employing 2,600 HP MTU diesel engines. Magnum Marine was born in Miami in 1966 when founder Don Aronow built the Magnum 27’ and Magnum 35’ which became World Offshore champions in Open Class racing. Following the success of these two models, the Magnum 25’, 28’ and 38’ were also produced and are still offered as Magnum Classics.

Italian aristocrat and boat builder Marchese Filippo Theodoli, purchased the brand in 1976. He gave the Magnum boats a new twist by combining high-performance capabilities with luxury, thus creating the very first high-performance yachts. These new vessels – New Era Magnums – offer the calm, luxurious retreat of a yacht along with the speed and performance of a race boat.

The Magnum 100 is scheduled to be ready for delivery in 2012.
