
The recent earthquake in Haiti still leaves thousands in tragic conditions where basic necessities are scarce and the struggle for life is a constant. Last week over 100 entertainers from around the world came together for the goal of raising money toward relief toward the Haiti in a concert telethon called
Hope for Haiti Now. The event was organized by
George Clooney and included superstars such as
Tom Hanks,
Brad Pitt,
Madonna,
Justin Timberlake,
Bruce Springsteen,
Coldplay,
Bono,
Jay-Z,
Halle Berry,
Ben Stiller,
Dave Matthews,
Sting and many more.

Music from the concert was combined into an album titled
Hope For Haiti Now which donates proceeds toward helping victims of the earthquake. The album debuted at #1 on the charts and has already raised over $3,000,000 for relief efforts. The telethon has raised over $66,000,000.

In addition,
Chris Martin auctioned off the signed jacket he wore in the
Viva La Vida music video on E-Bay which is available
here - proceeds which will also go toward humanitarian aid for Haiti.
