Writer/Musician and SQUA.RE Contributor SES reveals some of her latest escapes
The beautiful and opulent Engadin town of
St. Moritz, famous for its timeless cool and ‘‘champagne climate’’ glitters in February as during one of the most prestigious and glamorous events in the equestrian calendar: The Cartier Snow Polo World Cup.
The setting is the pristinely glacial frozen lake in the centre of St Moritz surrounded by the stunning Corviglia and Corvatsch mountains.

In the hospitality tent, we were treated to the culinary magic of St. Moritz born Reto Mathis -World Gourmet Club President and Andreas Caminada – Switzerland Chef of the Year. The drink was, as ever in St Moritz the wonderfully classic Louis Roederer Champagne.

Even by day, it was a red carpet affair with the grandstands and VIP tents hosting the cream of European High Society as well as patrons of the polo world. The teams were Cartier, Brioni, Maserati and Julius Baer.

The British polista Richard LePoer of Julius Baer and Hollywood actor/polista Ebe Sievwright turned heads on the lake and at the Gala. Royal members of the highly exclusive Corviglia Ski Club were also in attendance throughout the tournament.

And incredible news for getting back to St Moritz: Swiss Jet is operating charter flights from London City to St Moritz’s private Samedan airstrip!

This is a fantastic article! Well done SES.
