Timeless French cinema icon Alain Delon is one of the many film stars staying at the Hotel Martinez in Cannes this festival.

True to his image as the perfect gentleman, the legendary actor went out of his way to express his sincere gratitude to the seasoned behind-the-scenes Martinez hospitality team at the fabled hotel on the Croisette. Upon arrival in his car at the hotel, the actor warmly waved in response to the screams of the passionate fans crowded around the hotel entrance, proof that the 74 year-old’s star power and charisma continue to mesmerise his public. Accompanied by a small entourage, and trailed by cameramen and paparazzi, the actor gently asked them to ‘wait a moment’ as he approached the concierge desk, exchanging hellos and embracing the Martinez’s concierge, before letting them know, ‘now, we can carry on’. When departing the hotel the following day, he discretely came down the back elevator, and upon exiting the lift, he entered the Martinez’s VIP guest relations office and was seen gallantly bowing and kissing a lady’s hand, in a sincere gesture of thanks for a lovely stay.
