Grand Prix Ball 2010: Start Your Engines

This feature is brought to you by guest contributor Jonny Dodge, MD of GP Events, Partner at Aura London and SQUA.RE Member.

As the person responsible for bringing The Grand Prix Ball to London for 2010, I am delighted to bring to SQUA.RE the details of what is going to be one of the hottest events on this summer’s social calendar.

Having just watched the Canadian GP, I think everyone knows just how well the Brits are doing in F1 this year and I am so proud to see Lewis Hamilton and Jenson Button at the top of the table again. It is all looking like we could well have a British F1 Champion for the third year running and that means the excitement ahead of this year’s British Grand Prix at Silverstone is going to be at fever pitch.

The Grand Prix Ball is going to be held on the Wednesday before the race, the 7th July, at the beautiful Hurlingham Club in Fulham and I am so excited at what we have planned. There are going to be some amazing music acts, which we will announce very soon, so check back for that. We have already got Eddie Jordans’s brilliant band, and just confirmed Seb Fontaine and The Sugar Babes. The charity auction on the night will be supporting CLIC Sargent, the children’s cancer charity of which Eddie is a patron.

On the evening, which will be a glamorous black tie affair, guests will be mingling with F1 stars and celebrities at the champagne reception and three-course dinner. As well as everything else going on, we have got an impressive showcase of F1 cars through the ages as the sport celebrates 60 years in 2010.

I would love for you to join us on this special occasion. You can find out all the information at www.gpball.co.uk
