Officially called the Fisheye-Nikkor 6mm f/2.8, this lens has been first shown to the public at the Photokina trade show in Cologne, Germany in 1970. It weighs a whopping 5.2kg, is 171mm long and has a diameter of 236mm, and boasts a field of view of 220º ; it can literally see behind itself! Priced at £100,000 ($160,000) it’s available at Grays of Westminster in London, UK.

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg has let it slip that the social media juggernaut has plans to purchase Instagram for a whopping $1 billion USD. Having recently expanded to the Android market, Zuckerberg confirmed the news on his personal blog, adding that the deal won’t affect Instagram’s integration with competing social networks. We think the fact that Instagram is connected to other services beyond Facebook is an important part of the experience.
