The prestigious luxury brand has chosen recently the French actress Audrey Tautou as the new face of Chanel No. 5. Audrey, who became highly popular through the movie Amélie, is a perfect fit as she holds a natural elegance and self-confidence that seem to be the defining qualities of the Chanel No.5 woman.
You can watch the short film, story and behind the scenes on the Chanel N.5 site.
The film directed by Amélie’s Jean-Pierre Jeunet follows Audrey on a luxurious Orient Express style excursion from Paris to Istanbul, all set in a highly glamorous world. She encounters a man on her journey, played by Rodrigo Santoro, and the Chanel No.5 fragrance brings the two strangers together.
For almost 50 years, Chanel has paired great directors with great beauties to promote its No. 5 fragrance including director Richard Avedon for Catherine Deneuve, Ridley Scott for Carole Bouquet, Luc Besson for Estella Warren, and the very popular film by Baz Luhrmann for Nicole Kidman.
We look forward to the continuation of such a creative ongoing success story.
