I recently had the opportunity to discover the BE Collective through one of the most exciting ways you can discover a company: by meeting up with one of their key creatives, in that case the young and talented Erik Munro. Guided by Munro and the BE team, SQUA.RE went for a visit of the fabulous studios of the BE Collective, hidden in a mews off the vibrant Marylebone High Street in London.
The young and yet widely experienced BE Collective essentially provide every format of high-end creativity throughout four areas we avidly watch for at SQUA.RE: interior design, architecture, digital art and branding. Obviously, and to such extent, the BE Collective has its key values well put out, and you will see how throughout its projects, the collective’s focus is always on keeping differentiation and on a specialisation in projects requiring an exceptional level of design at the core of its work.
The BE Collective work in partnership with clients, to deliver to them the highest standards of quality and creativity through their team’s wide range of unique talents. The range of projects below, large or intimate, tailored and bespoke, finished or still in planning, all translate to the same dedication for excellence in differentiation.
RESIDENTIAL: Project in Cobham, Surrey, UK – Acting as the creative director for the project BE have developed the architectural strategy, design and branding for a private “branded” gated development in the village of Cobham.
HOSPITALITY: Dubai Pearl – McLaren Hotel & Residences – BE were approached by Dubai Pearl to deliver a concept design for McLaren hotel and residences in Dubai. The final design solution reflects once again the spirit of a brand and its crossover into different worlds, in this case it is McLaren’s masculinity and their high advancement in technology.
HOSPITALITY: Levera, Grenada, Luxury Hotel Resort – The BE Collective has created a design concept for a luxury hotel complex on a Caribbean Island. The spirit of the hotel is to have a contemporary but timeless design but also, not detract from the stunning views and landscape that the Island encapsulates. A highly eco-friendly project as we like them at SQUA.RE.
This enabled The BE Collective to fully explore native typologies on the island and interpret these ideas into fashionable, luxury concept units that still have their roots firmly embedded in the native tradition and culture.
HOSITALITY: Sarto, London (Restaurant) – A highly appealing design mixing modernity and warmth in this London restaurant.
HOSPITALITY: The Arts Club, Mayfair, London (Private members club) – The Art Club in Mayfair, has long been viewed as an institution, having many distinguished members over the years. The BE Collective was approached on everything from Interior Design to Branding.
RETAIL: Dubai Pearl, Mall – At the center of Dubai Pearl is 1m square feet of premium retail space. The BE Collective were approached to analyse the masterplan and come up with a retail strategy. Their creation features a runway for shoppers at the heart of the retail center!
RETAIL: Parkview Green, Beijing, Mixed Used Development – The BE Collective’s role is to revise the overall retail strategy of this groundbreaking development in the city of Beijing, China. The preview shows a highly promising mix of modernity and nature.
