The icon of all icons, the Queen of Pop, the number one best selling female artist of all time, Madonna grace the May cover of Interview magazine (for the seventh time) with all her Pop Royalty extravagance and raw powerful sexual assault that only she can pull off. The fantastic editorial is photographed by dual talents of Mert Alas & Marcus Piggott, and accompanied with a conversation by one of the most incredible movie directors of our time, Gus van Sant.
The conversation with Gus van Sant centers on Madonna’s ongoing charitable accomplishments in Malawi and her charitable collaborative work with Jeffry Sachs, her four children, her love of Gus van Sant’s film “Milk”, and her upcoming film project W.E., which tells the story of a women’s journey in parallel to the controversial affair between King Edward VIII and Wallis Simpson.
“I think it’s good to get into arguments with people and have them say, ‘that sucks’ or ‘you’re crazy’ or ‘that’s cheesy’ or ‘what do you think of this?’ if anything, it helps you understand what you believe”- Madonna
Madonna is wearing Dolce&Gabbana, Givenchy Haute Couture, Versace, Fendi, Prada, L’Wren Scott, Michael Kors, Azzedine Alaïa and up-and-coming Turkish designer, Hakaan. Jewellery by Cartier, Lorraine Schwartz, Gucci Fine Jewelry, David Yurman, Pomellato and Chrome Hearts. Styling by Karl Templer and art direction by Fabien Baron.
