The Martini Gold Film: A Mix of Dolce&Gabbana, Martini, Monica Bellucci, Rome & Jonas Akerlund

Two Italian icons, luxury brand Dolce&Gabbana and spirits brand Martini teamed up earlier this year to bring us the exotic Martini Gold, a vermouth “which has bergamot from Calabria, lemons from Sicily as well as oranges, Spanish saffron, myrrh from Ethiopia, ginger from India, and cubebe pepper from Indonesia“. The exquisite liquor is a collaboration that celebrates the 10-year partnership between the two brands, one that began a decade ago with the opening of a Martini bar at the Dolce&Gabbana store in Milan, followed by another in Shanghai. A short film for Martini Gold, directed by famed film and music video director Jonas Akerlund stars two more Italian icons – the city of Rome and Monica Bellucci – and celebrates Italian life along the lines of Frederico Fellini‘s La Dolce Vita. A surprise appearance by Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana, the namesake behind D&G completes the film. Enjoy below some stills from the film, followed by the clip.

Have you tried Martini Gold yet? What did you think?

  2. I like the idea very much! Martini Gold – especially the fact that so many Oriental spicies contributed to the mix! I love first shot with Monica and the crowd of men following her, and the one where Martini Gold is poured into the glass! Video – I could not watch it as there was something wrong with it on my comp.
