With many organizations fighting HIV and AIDS and increasing awareness, why did DSQUARED2 choose to support Life Ball?

Because the organization offered us to take part in the project and we liked the concept. Though we also support other fund raisers like amfAR.

By choosing to collaborate with Life Ball, how does DSQUARED2 hope to increase HIV and AIDS awareness?

We are special designer guests and we have designed around 80 costumes that will be unveiled during a grand fashion show on May 21.

Tell us about your collection and the fashion show at Life Ball 2011.

We don’t want to reveal too much but we can say it’s going to be a Hell’s Angels meets military meets birds and flight.

DSQUARED2 have always been connected with pop music and culture, how do you see your association with Life Ball affecting your fans?

Our fans already know about our deep involvement and concern in the HIV fight so they will not be surprised by this collaboration. Besides Life Ball is a joyful event that always gathers together iconic people from music, culture, fashion.

To all our readers and your fans, what would you like to say to them regarding this cause?

We would tell them not to underestimate the HIV virus. Only because it is not always on the headlines of the newspapers doesn’t mean they found the cure!
