Recently, I noticed a friend posting really cute photos on Facebook. But these weren’t photos of her kids (who are also very cute); they were photos of the lunch she packed for her son each day.

Isobel loves to cook for friends, and her Brooklyn kitchen is well-suited for that. “It’s really nice that the kitchen opens up to the living room,” she tells Apartment Therapy in this recent House Tour. The rental kitchen did need a little creative love, though, so Isobel painted several walls, including the kitchen backsplash, in black chalkboard paint and hung a pot rack above her stove that her mom helped her build.
