Next summer better be sunny around the world, to complement a great Spring/Summer 2012 Women’s Collection. The wardrobe is full of prints and colours with green, blue and yellow making appearances all over. The casual-yet-chic sporty styles of Alexander Wang and Marc Jacobs will surely be a hit. The prints resemble a botanic garden, from […]

This could easily be one of my favorite editorials this year, shot by Greg Kadel and starring Dutch beauty Daphne Groeneveld, bejeweled by Bill Mullen in some of the most wildly “interesting” pieces this season by Proenza Schouler, Dolce & Gabbana and Prada. The project, called From Drawings to Pictures, is a partnership between Prada and Vogue Italia to find young Italian photographers to render the glasses in a pop-comical manner.
The Reality Show By Araki Tuesday, May 17, 2011 The man known for his S&M slant turned his lens to Japan’s bleeding edge to shoot the second issue of limited-edition Tokyo-based style magazine The Reality Show . While the sartorial looks at Chanel’s 2012 Resort show in Antibes ran the gamut from the conservative to romantic to all-out kooky, the bags were not such a mixed bag. Actually, with all the schizophrenic color contrasts (from canary yellow to a black-and-white theme, for example) and dress embellishments, many probably failed to notice the relatively quaint carry-alls in the models’ hands.
