The work is an epic video piece in seven pseudo-linear installments: Trill-ogy Comp contains the three “sections,” K-CoreaINC.K (section a) , Sibling Topics (section a) , and P.opular S.ky (section ish) ; and Re’Search Wait’S comprises four, titled Ready , The Re’Search , Roamie View: History Enhancement , and Temp Stop . Through these films, Trecartin assembles an all-star/no-star cast of Miami locals, artist and friend collaborators, yoga professionals, out of work tween stars from Orlando, and reality TV “performers” to address topics like: “transumerism,” or, consumerism through experience; forgoing the importance of who one is in favor of where; the practicality of hobbyism in the face of careerism; “tween-aged” microcosms; stereotypical international homogenization; and sibling dynamics between quadruplets who reside at different points on the transgender spectrum—among other pressing multi-generational, post-cyber/pre-hotel concerns.
