You could say Andrew Chesler kind of hit the lottery when it comes to real estate on the Upper West Side. He was living in a cramped apartment on 90th and Columbus with his wife and daughter until his widowed mother had suggested that the family move in, splitting her four-bedroom apartment into two two-bedroom units.
A woman in Woodside is desperately trying to get a Hotel landmarked so the crap-shack can be rehabilitated and ultimately saved. Even she hates it right now, saying that the building ” looks like a dump .” The other option would be to tear the place down, so let’s hope her efforts aren’t in vain. [NYDN]
